Technology

Cairns High believes that technology is an important part of modern teaching, both in the providing of computer infrastructure, computers and software and the continuing professional development of teachers. Cairns High currently has 475 computers including 11 computer labs, 3 mobile laptop sets and an additional 3 dedicated Apple labs for multimedia film and television and digital photography.

Professional Development

Since 2005 Cairns High has run the International benchmark program “Intel Teach for the future” training 20 teachers. A further 8 teachers have completed the education Queensland Information Communication and Technology certificate with a further 52 to be in serviced in 2008.
