Cairns High stands up to bullying

The Cairns High community is based on caring and respect. Our key values remind us every day of how we are all expected to operate with each other.

A new draft of the school’s Responsible Behaviour and Wellbeing plan has been prepared and a major part of it is a clear Anti-Bullying policy which details the manner in which bullying is identified and resolved.

Students were provided with the most important parts in a reminder card which they include in their student planner. It details the types of bullying and what is not, by definition, bullying. The roles of those involved in the bullying is also explained.

Good friends are defenders not bystanders – for both the target and the ring leader.

You can also comment on the draft 2017 RBWP which can be found on the School website.
