Cairns high are proud to announce that Mrs Lizanne Smith, Head of Music will receive an Order of Australia Medal; “For service to music education as a teacher, and to the performing arts”, as stated on the Governor-General’s website.

She works tirelessly to maintain the international benchmark of musical excellence at Cairns State High School and is very deserving of this significant recognition. We all congratulate her on this outstanding achievement”, said Mrs Angela Toppin, Cairns State High School Principal.

Roles that she has been involved in since 1991. Lizanne is also a Committee Member of the Cairns and District Junior Eisteddfod Inc.
