Erin Holland returns to Cairns High

29/04/2015

Ms Erin Holland; Miss World Australia 2013, is an active philanthropist with a Bachelor of Classical Voice and past student of Cairns State High School. She will be visiting Cairns High on Thursday 30 April.

Ms Holland is very appreciative of her time at Cairns High which she enjoyed very much. “I whole heartedly believe it was due to the incredible tuition of the Cairns High Performing Arts program that I have excelled in the Entertainment Industry in Australia”, she commented.

She is now returning to her high school to give something back and share her experience with some very excited Performing Arts students. Following the Business Liaison Association (BLA) Breakfast with a Performance she will head to Cairns High and interact with Dance, Drama and Music Excellence students throughout the remainder of the day.

“It is great to have Erin Holland return to the school to share her experiences of following her passion. She will impart her knowledge to the students and they will gain valuable insight into the real world of fame and success”, commented Ms Sarah Daggett, HOD Performing Arts.

Throughout her schooling, Ms Holland performed in Orchestras, Big Bands, Choirs, Wind Ensembles and Musicals. After graduating from Cairns High in 2006, supported by a BLA Performing Arts Bursary, Erin moved to Sydney to pursue her dreams and studied at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music on a scholarship.

Ms Holland won her national title, Miss World Australia in July 2013 and is an ambassador for the International Beauty with a Purpose Charity. She is also involved with Variety, the Children's Charity and is an ambassador for McHappy Day as well as the Australian Working Dogs Rescue. Erin is also involved in numerous projects, including Australia Education Career Consultants and presenting on Channel 7’s Sydney Weekender.
