Cairns State High School Student Council provides a platform for students to have a voice in the school. The SRC acts as a forum for students to raise issues, be consulted by the Executive Principal and survey the views of the student body.
Members also organise, engage, and participate in a variety of fundraising and charitable endeavours to improve the welfare of students in the school.
Throughout the year a number of different events are supported by the SRC in turn support local, state, national and international organisations.
Students are also encouraged to organise an event within their own year group, in an effort to build and sustain a sense of community within their own year group as well as the whole school community.
Student Voice and therefore SRC strengthens global citizenship and the school's focus on internationalism.
