Cairns State High School celebrated its 100th birthday in 2017 and continues to make history.
As part of the Centenary Celebrations, an association for past students and teachers was established - Cairns High Association of Past Students (CHAPS) This became the Alumni Association in 2022.
You can join for free.
Almuni objectives
- establish a directory for past students
- communicate regularly with 2x yearly newsletter
- accumulate the stories of Cairns High’s past
- provide the opportunity for past students to take part in our 'give back program' by making a donation, bequest or establish a trust. These funds can support capital works, school programs, student scholarships or provide a laptop, a valuable learning resource in today's classroom, for a student experiencing challenges in their life. Similarly skills and services may be offered to progress programs, classes or formal committees such as School Council.

If you are interested in registering with the Alumni, please complete the
Online Form. These details will form a directory for reunion organisers and allow the school to liaise with members. It is free.
If you are planning a Reunion, we would enjoy the opportunity to meet you (again), hear your stories, show you around our great school and update you on the opportunities presented by the Alumni Association.
