Our annual Cairns State High School Inter-house Athletics Carnival will be held on Thursday, 16 July at Barlow Park.
Venue: Barlow Park (entry and exit via Spence Street only)
Time: 8:40am – 3:00pm
This is a whole school event and considered a normal school day.
No classes will run on campus for the day. All students are expected to attend the Carnival, participate as much as possible, and cheer for their house.
Entry and exit via Spence Street only. As the Cairns Show is on at this time, entry and exit to Barlow Park will be via the Spence Street gate entry only. There will be no access to Severin or Scott Street (including the Barlow Park carpark on Scott Street).
Shuttle Bus Information
Students who require to catch buses to and from Cairns High – there will be a shuttle bus leaving Cairns High stop drop area at 8:10am and 8:40am going to Barlow Park, and a shuttle bus leaving Barlow Park at 2:40pm to return to Cairns High before 3:00pm.
Additional information:
Students can wear appropriate running attire or dress in their house colour/theme for the event, otherwise school uniform is acceptable.
It is advised that students bring appropriate sun protection (does not need to be a Cairns High hat) and a water bottle and they must wear shoes for the event.
Tuckshop is available at Barlow Park (no food deliveries).
Please leave speakers/boom boxes at home.
